Quick answer

A complete home energy system combines solar panels, a home battery, an air source heat pump and an EV charger so they share power. Solar runs your home by day, the battery covers the evening, and your heat pump and car use solar when available. Scotland Solar designs each system after a survey and sends a written quote.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you install in your part of Scotland?
Yes. Scotland Solar installs solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps and EV chargers in your part of Scotland and across the rest of Scotland, with our team working from our office in Dundee. Call 0141 230 0198 or use the quote form to check your postcode.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar panels?
Yes. A home battery can usually be added to an existing solar system, either connected to your current inverter or with a hybrid inverter. During the survey we check your inverter, wiring and space for the battery, then recommend a size that suits how you use electricity.
Is finance available?
Finance available, subject to status. Ask about monthly payment options when you call or request a quote, and we will explain what is available for your installation before you decide. There is no obligation to go ahead.
How do I get a quote?
Call 0141 230 0198 or fill in the quote form. We arrange a survey of your home or business, then send a written, no-obligation quote showing the full price of the system we recommend. You can take your time to decide.
What is a complete home energy system?
It is solar panels, a home battery, a heat pump and an EV charger designed to work together. Solar powers your home during the day, the battery stores spare power for the evening, and the heat pump and car can use solar power when it is available.
Do I have to install everything at once?
No. Many customers start with solar panels and a battery, then add a heat pump or EV charger later. We design the first stage so it is ready for the next one.
How long does a full installation take?
A combined installation usually takes a few days on site, after the survey, design and any grid notification. We coordinate each stage so you deal with one team throughout.
