Home Energy Scotland Heat Pump Grant + Loan

Grant: £7,500 upfront grant (non-repayable)
Loan: £7,500 interest-free loan repayable over 10 years (£62.50/month)
Total Support: £15,000 (reduces £15,000-£18,000 systems to £8,000-£13,000 net)
Eligibility: Scottish homes, MCS-certified installation, adequate insulation (EPC D+ typically)
Application: 4-8 weeks processing — Scotland Solar handles all paperwork

Example: 8.5kW heat pump = £17,500 gross. After £7,500 grant + £7,500 loan = £10,000 net upfront cost.

OZEV EV Charger Grant

Grant: Up to £350 towards installation costs
Eligibility: Residents in flats, rental properties, or multiple-occupancy buildings
Charger Requirements: OZEV-approved smart charger (Ohme, Zappi, Andersen all qualify)
Application: Scotland Solar confirms eligibility and handles application during installation

Example: Ohme Home Pro £799 - £350 OZEV grant = £449 net cost for eligible properties.

Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)

Earnings: 4-30p/kWh for solar electricity exported to the grid
Octopus Flux: ~30p/kWh during peak times (4-7pm), 23p average, best SEG rate in Scotland
Typical Earnings: £300-£500/year from 4kWp system (50% exported)
Eligibility: All solar installations with MCS certification and export meter
Registration: Scotland Solar registers you for SEG as part of installation

Example: 4kWp system exports 1,700 kWh/year @ 30p/kWh = £510/year earnings.
